A note: In 1937 in Ukraine there was a criminal
code with an article that was used to punish for anti-Semitism. That is why
a word “zhid”, which came into Ukrainian from Polish language, for new
Russian-bolshevics occupants become anti-Semitic. That’s why those who used
the word “zhid” were sentenced to death according to article 54-10 of
criminal code of UkSSR.
